The 10 Plagues          

( Exodus 7:1-12:41 )

1. Water turned into Blood
2. Frogs
3. Lice
4. Swarms of Flies
5. Murrain = Cattle Disease
6. Boils
7. Hail & Fire
8. Swarms of Locusts
9. Darkness
10. Death of First Born

I could spend a lot of time talking about the 10 Plagues and how God accurately predicted the time, place, and end result of what Pharaoh would do. But I want to mention SOME of the things people come up with to try to explain away those miracles.

I have read about everything from a volcano to algae. The algae scenario is one of the more elaborate explanations. Where they said that there was a certain kind of algae that turned the Nile River red so that it looked like blood.

Also some people believe that it could not have happened because all the Egyptians would die of thirst if they didn't have anything to drink. And to prove their point they even used Exodus 7:19 where it says even the water they had stored in pots and vessels turned to blood. But what they should have done was read Exodus 7:24 . Where the Bible tells us that the Egyptians dug for water to drink.

Next come the FROGS: Where they say that all of the Egyptians would die because the frogs would eat up all of their crops. Frogs don't eat crops. They are carnivorous and not vegetarians.

Now here come the LICE: Now they say that any remaining crops would be destroyed. Sorry about that, but wrong again. Lice do not eat vegetation, they eat blood. That is why people and animals get infected with them (head lice, etc.).

I am not going to spend anymore time going through each plague. It would be a lot better if the people that spend so much time trying to disprove the Bible, would use that time in studying it as God’s word. But in the end it all comes down to this: “God accurately predicted the time, place, and end result of what Pharaoh would do, beforehand.” ( Exodus 9:5-7 & Exodus 9:18-26 ) Something man still has not been able to do.
