AM   I   A   FOOL ???

No one likes being called a FOOL! But as a matter of fact, the Bible teaches, actually warns us, about calling someone a 'fool' ( Matthew 5:22 ) We should not do such a thing. So, I ask the question and will let you answer it yourself. ( remember Rule # 5 about being honest). But before you answer this question, let us take just a few moments to see how the Bible describes someone that is a FOOL.

"The FOOL hath said in his heart, There is no God.." ( Psalms 14:1 )

And again it says:

"The FOOL hath said in his heart, There is no God.." ( Psalms 53:1 )

Here we have the example of the Bible saying, If someone does not believe in God, then they are a FOOL! And I would have to agree. After all, who am I to disagree with the word of God. ( remember Rule # 4 ).

But let us look at another scripture:

Matthew 7:21: Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOETH the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 7:22: Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Matthew 7:23: And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Matthew 7:24: Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and DOETH them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
Matthew 7:25: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
Matthew 7:26: And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and DOETH THEM NOT, shall be likened unto a FOOLish man, which built his house upon the sand:
Matthew 7:27: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
Matthew 7:28: And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:
Matthew 7:29: For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

And here we have an example of someone who believes in God ( 'Lord, Lord' in vs. 21 & 22 ), But does NOT do what God says. ( 'work iniquity' vs. 23 & 26 ).

Now let me ask YOU a question, "Who is the bigger fool ???   Someone who says, 'There is no God' or Someone who says, 'Yea, I believe there is a God, but I am not going to do what He says.'??

Well, that answer should be a 'no-brainer'. But it really doesn't make any difference, because the Bible calls both of these type of indiviuals, FOOLS ! So let us go back to the orginal question.

"AM I A FOOL ???"   Remember, be honest.

Only 'YOU' can answer that question!!
